Dr Nora Disis talks to Teresa Lukens of PBS about groundbreaking work being done at the University of Washington Medicine Cancer Vaccine Institute, previously known as Tumor Vaccine Group. Its goal is to develop vaccines to prevent cancers responsible for millions of deaths and enormous healthcare costs, including breast, colon, ovarian, prostate, and pancreatic and lung cancers – and to prevent cancer relapse that is often incurable.
