We're delighted to announced that two Cancer Vaccine Institute faculty have been awarded funding by the Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund which was created by the Washington state legislature to 'improve health outcomes by advancing transformational research in the prevention and treatment of cancer.' Dr. John Liao, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology received a Life Science Start-up and Development Award for his project on understanding 'Tumor burden and peripheral T cell exhaustion in ovarian cancer." Dr. Shaveta Vinayak, Director of Clinical Trials, was awarded for work on "Adapting Research Design & Systems to Improve Inclusion & Diversity in Cancer Clinical Trials."
